Kudzai Ishe S.

Co-Team Leader

Kudzai Ishe is the co-team leader at Green Community Solutions. He is a climate change specialist with vast experience in climate action across Zimbabwe, South Africa and Zambia. He has implemented life-changing climate resilience projects in rural and underserved communities, addressing decades-long challenges exacerbated by climate change. He has published multiple academic articles and is interested in climate, energy and environment research.

Matthews Mahlangu

Co-Team Leader

Matthews Mahlangu is the co-team leader at Green Community Solutions. A trained pastor, he has pastored multiple churches across South Africa and served as a spiritual advisor at Christian institutions. He holds qualifications in business, project management and education. Matthews integrates religious inclusion in climate literacy and has led multiple faith-based climate initiatives. He is passionate about building bridges between faith communities and environmental action. Matthews also mentors young leaders to become advocates for sustainable development within their communities.

Refiloe Excel

Programs Lead

Refiloe Excel is the Programs Lead at Green Community Solutions. A trained lawyer specializing in environmental and energy law, she has led programs focusing on climate action, women inclusion, and gender-based violence prevention. She advocates for aligning gender equity with climate action. Refiloe works closely with communities to ensure that programs are inclusive and context-sensitive. She also provides training and mentorship to young women pursuing careers in environmental leadership. Her commitment to justice and sustainability drives innovative solutions that empower vulnerable groups.

Tshegofatso Moloi

Finance Lead

Tshegofatso Moloi is the Finance Lead at Green Community Solutions. With education in finance and accounting, she has managed projects for emerging NGOs in South Africa. A firm feminist, she believes that climate justice is social justice.

Cathrine Matabela

Grants & Gender Specialist

Cathrine Matabela is a grants and gender specialist at Green Community Solutions. She possesses qualifications in Monitoring and Evaluation and is passionate about advancing gender equality within climate programs.
